About

I created this website to share my stories with friends and family. Personally, I am a husband, father of two and value my time with my family more than any other worldly pursuit. I enjoy staying busy, and continuously learning, which has led to the start of many hobbies.

Professionally, I am a Chemical and Bio-molecular Engineer by trade. I have worked in multiple industries, including fiber optic manufacturing, pulp and paper, polysilicon and semiconductor manufacturing, and the petrochemical industry.

More recently, I am the founder and owner of Left Lane Brain, which is an educational business dedicated to supporting people who own, operate, and maintain automobiles.

My friends know me as a “Car Guy”, which I regard as my primary hobby. About a year ago, my wife and I were sitting on the “porch of inspiration” as we call it, which is our back deck. We were discussing our friends car problem when she said “Their problems are so simple, and yet it saves so much money to know what’s causing them. Cars are so expensive.” This got me thinking, which ultimately led to the publication of my first book “Troubleshooting With Your Senses – Your Roadside Guide.” The hope is that this book can serve as a “car guy”, and stay with you in your glove box for whenever you need advice on an automotive problem. You can read more about my book Here. You can read more about my automotive hobbie’s humble beginnings Here.

I also began mountain climbing a few years back, which began as a spontaneous invitation from my friend Stanley Worthington. Since that first climb on Mt. Adams, I have realized that I find no greater relaxation than being in the cool crisp air of a high altitude summit. I have performed many climbs since then, which can be seen here.

Note: All Pictures have their resolution and size reduced to assist in page load times and data usage. The quality of the originals is vastly improved, including many photos that are not included in these posts. If you would like to use any of my photos in your publications, please feel free to contact me. © Tim Rabideau

I hope you enjoy your visit. Please feel free to leave comments in the comments section.
